I’m Growing a Palm Tree. In my Room.

Will it grow so tall that it could bust right thru the ceiling?
You never know.
Not.
This is a weed near the pond I pulled out for my cat (Tim).
Made sure I got it by the roots. Timmy’s sick of wheat grass from Meijer and regular cat grass.
He wanted weed. So he got it.
It does look like a palm tree, though. Doesn’t it?
What have you planted lately?

Wow, nice!
You really don’t think it looks like a baby palm tree?
It kinda reminded me of something like this.

Why not, just take a pumpkin seed and plant it in some soil, pot or outside. Takes 5 minutes tops. Might yield some nice pumpkins for ya just in time for Halloween.

I have planted lots of blooming flowers in baskets and pots. The birds have been planting birdseed. It looks pretty. I hope it is good for Tim and does not make him sick in any way.

Thanks Heather, I checked it out ahead of time. Also, I watch which weeds one of our other cats chews on, so I know it’s safe.
I know what you mean about the birds planting birdseed, they did that back home on the roof in the rain gutters and Timmy used to chew on it. That’s what I’m trying to give back to him I guess.
When I grow birdseed in a pot, it doesn’t come out so great, only the birds know how to do it.

It looks healthy, whatever it is, but the pot looks too small.
I grow manly herbaceous plants, and it’s been a while since I planted one. Pruning is my main task these days. I used to buy annuals but they need too much attention, and water! If you forget to water them, they don’t last long. My herbaceous borders requires no watering and just a little tlc now and then.
Great to see you visiting here! x

Hi Max Crispy Treat! Good to see you here too. Glad to hear you’re a gardener as well. I know the pot is too small, but the weed was small at first too. It’s growing like a ….. weed.
Haha x

That has happened to me at times too.
Or it will sprout
and then not make it.
So I just try again.
Planting can be a roller coaster. Thanks Michael
