As I was enjoying my afternoon siestas, I received a very disturbing news about my Aunt's health condition. Her partner, sent a news to another aunt of mine telling that their sister is sick and sent a picture of her leg. My aunt is already a senio citizen already and had diabetes for sometime already. I think the complications have worsen already that is why her legs suddenly became sored and wound is not healing anymore. I ask for prayers that she can overcome this health concerns.

I am so sorry to hear this. I read the comments and see she is in the hospital, I hope they can help her. Diabetics can get ulcers that never heal, what you are calling sores on her leg. They have to have a lot of medical attention and care. Maybe you can see her soon, she would probably appreciate visitors.

I visited her last weekend, and though she was quite weak, she could still talk and have a nice conversation with us. Her speech was much slower than before, so different from the lively, bubbly person I’ve always known. We kept the visit short, knowing she needed rest more than spending too much time entertaining and comforting us. I know she appreciated us being there, but I think she preferred resting over trying to entertain us.

@MarieCoyle Yes hoping she can get better even though I know recovery can be painfully slow for her age right now.

She was taken to the doctor the next day and was advised to be admitted immediately after the consultation, as it appeared that water retention had already set in and needed to be drained at the hospital. She’s quite old and in a very fragile state right now, but there’s still hope that she can recover from all of this.

She was brought to the clinic the next day but was ordered to be confined instead. It is indeed serious.

Thats sad. Diabetic patients should try not to have wounds cos it might not heal. I hope all goes well with her

True. I do now know how she got this on her legs. I might be able to go to visit her this weekend to see how she is coping. Hope she will be better by then.
