I don't understand it

The day spa I'm at is right next to a boat yard. It isn't the most beautiful view but I did enjoy watching all of the cats earlier this year. I haven't seen any this week but I suspect that is because there is so much activity there throughout the day. Anyway for at least the past 2 days they have constantly been placing boats in the water one after another after another. Okay. We are next to the bay. It is summer but it is. . . July 30. The day after tomorrow is August. I could see if it was just 1 boat that had to be fixed or something but they've put dozens in. I mean I'm no boating expert but I'm pretty sure that the boats are supposed to go in in April or May so they can be used for the whole season. They will get August and September out of it. Maybe even October for striper season. But that's it. Very strange.

That is odd. But, it is also something to watch and ponder. I just posted about the beach bums in our family, thought it might give you a chuckle.

Some people are determined to use their boats even if only for one month. Here, not on an ocean, just lakes, you could likely use it up to November at least some years.

Maybe all the owners came to their boats in early summer - and found all kinds of problems that needed to be fixed so they had to go to the boatyard.
