He made it back from the hospital

I woke up about half an hour ago and was thirsty. I got up and headed for the kitchen. The nurses and one of the techs were there. I saw that the "OOF" was gone from my friend's name up on the board. The tech was going through a box of stuff. I asked "is he back?" and they said yes. I don't know what the hospital could have done for him in 7 hours. If he was sent there for a super-high BAC then it wouldn't have come down enough into a safe range by now. If he needed anxiety meds they have them here. I suppose they could have given him IV fluids but I can't think of what else they could do that can't be done here. We'll see what time he gets up today. . . if he gets up. Some people just get up and push through the day after an episode like that. Others just stay in bed and sleep for a couple of days. Those with alcohol issues tend to be in the first group while those who are into benzos, fentanyl, cocaine, etc are usually the ones who sleep and sleep.
