My day spa retreat has been extended 2 weeks

and I am NOT happy about it. My counselor here did not think that going straight back to the apartment from here was a good idea. He recommended 2 weeks of PHP (partial hospitalization program) which is basically sober living on the main campus. I told the counselor that I would talk to my ex about it. He of course agreed with the counselor. When I saw him yesterday he asked what my ex said and I told him that he agreed. Somehow he took that to mean that I agreed to do it. He set it up for me to head there tomorrow. He called my ex to let him know that was the plan. Then he came up here to ask if I was ready to go tomorrow. I was like "WHAT?!?!?!" I had already decided to just go straight back to the apartment. Needless to say I was upset and tears started dripping down my face. I was not prepared to spend another 2 weeks away. I only packed enough toiletries for a week. (hello Amazon) I was supposed to go into work to get my stuff ready to be moved into my new classroom. Darwin only knows what the state of the produce in my fridge will look like when I return. I am so upset. This is one of those times when I really could use a drink.
