Yesterday Ken (Jane's husband) brought me an old recliner from their storage. I refused at first because I thought the wooden arms would not be comfortable for sleeping. My daughter says "Mom, just put pillows over them." I decided she was right. I had been wanting to order a brand new one somewhere, but could not make up my mind. I was afraid I would not be able to assemble one. Afraid I would spend too much money, afraid I would not spend enough money. You know, you get what you pay for. This rocker/recliner is Lazyboy brand. It is colonial style, not my favorite, but the burgundy color is great. It is probably nicer than any I would have bought. I got it to have near our bedroom. Bob gets restless and disturbs my sleep, but I want to be where he can see and find me. I stayed up late last night, but slept in about a half hour today. I may take a nap

It sounds like it is working well for you so far! The older recliners are made much better than newer ones!

I hope it’s good enough to allow you to sleep comfortably. I had an old electric recliner my late grandma gave me when she moved into assisted living, but those cleaning people (the ones who threw out my mom’s ashes) yanked out the cord, and it no longer works. I can’t manually do anything, so I’m out of luck. Your chair really is pretty.

it looks really comfy, and since you fell asleep in it, I take it that it is comfy.
