I thought I didn't have any until yesterday. One of our female staff was chewing gum while working and it annoyed me. I don't know why it did but looking at her made so mad. I told her that she shouldn't be chewing gum at work especially when talking to a customer. She can chew gum in private, not in front of a customer and not in front of me, please! I find it disrespectful and so unprofessional. And I really find it unladylike. Am I a horrible person?

Well, we have this in common, it annoys me enormously to see someone chewing gum, particularly women. Talking while chewing is rude and a lack of respect.

I wouldn’t want her chewing it while talking with a customer. My pet peeve is people “smacking” their food (or gum). It’s absolutely disgusting.

That doesn't make you a horrible person. We all have out pet peeves. Such a thing wouldn't bother me though..thats just me
