Are there certain sayings that you really don't like?

I was going to write this last night, but I got sidetracked, which often happens. The other day I was here just reading discussions, and there were several discussions that had my least favorite saying that is still somewhat popular-- ''It is what it is.'' Doesn't that sound hopeless to you? It's a dead statement to me--one with no positivity, no hope, nothing. Like a big dead end. It's negativity at it's finest, and I hate it. Maybe it's just me. My daughter hates it as well, she says it's been used to death. And then there is LOL. Yes, LOL. We all know after years of being online, what LOL means. At this point, there is no laughing involved with using it anymore. Some people use it multiple times in one paragraph. Some use it in every single post. I can handle one LOL once in a while--but not in every comment, not in every discussion. I just can't. I don't know why I feel that way--it's just become so common that it has no meaning at all anymore. Then there is the really worn out ''I did a thing.'' Seriously? We all do a thing or two...daily. Enough with that one, it's dead. Last but not least in my list of sayings I do not like is ''adulting''....um, aren't we all adults in here, or at least old enough to be adults? I have to agree--being an adult can be very difficult at times, I know that. But if you are a normal adult that functions for the most part, then you don't need to think or to talk about adulting. You just do it. Do you have some sayings you don't like?
