Pre-pandemic days we'd usually go for a long ride on our bikes every single weekend. Climbing that hilltop is quite a challenge but it was something we enjoyed doing. My first one was tough though. It was my first 70km ride going up on a hill and upon reaching the top, I had to lay on the grass. Fulfilling. Exhilarating. I was in my late 30s when I was doing this.

Was the climb mid-ride or at the end? Nothing like a good climb at the end of 70k!

Yes it was fun. After that, my speed progressed as well as the distance.

I used to ride my mountain bike all over. The greenbelt was a favorite along the river. I also would ride up a hill too and in the heat of the summer it was so nice coming back down. I think I rode until I was about, 50,I miss it but at 74 I can't do it anymore. Nice that it is something you enjoy and find exhilarating.

Yes. We rode like we were training for a competition actually. My son used to ride almost every single day but that was during the lockdown period when classes were online so he had the time. But he'd wake up at 3am every day. But that's because he'd ride over 100km everyday.

No. As stated in the previous discussion, I quit about three years ago because of an injury.

Do you ride still? I used to do a lot of mountain biking when I was in my 20s and 30s, but it has been years since I’ve roads a bike.

Challenging indeed coz the hill was very steep. But my speed progressed after that as well as the distance.
