I Can't Stand Long Fingernails

I've never been one to like having long fingernails. As I've gotten older, the shorter the better. In fact, I was just looking down at them and give them a nice clip before I take off on my trip. My fingernails grow extremely fast - I guess it's all that protein I eat.
Have you seen those workers out in stores and restaurants with extremely long fake fingernails? First, I don't know how they operate with them. They look like dangerous instruments. Second, doesn't it concern you how much dirt and other stuff gets up under those nails when they're serving your food? I mean, I get dirt under my short nails, I can't only imagine how much stuff gets under those extremely long nails.
It's not my thing. Is it your thing?

@looeyville I find those extra long talons on young ladies disconcerting. Hygiene is a concern, especially in waitresses. One girl who served me recently had claws so long and sharp that she could have performed a vasectomy at 20 paces.

Never! Even when I was in my teens I never wore my nails long and I hardly even paint them.
Toenails, I paint once in awhile. Fingernails? Rarely.

Pretty lets her fingernails grow to about a quarter inch long but doesn't paint them. I keep mine very short.
I don't pay attention to how long or short other people wear their nails.

I do try and have some length to my nails …..but absolutely nothing like in the photo…..
I have small hands and I need a little length of nail ….it also make me feel better.
I hate it when a nail breaks.
I have painted them in the past, I don’t tend to now so much….
I do get concerned as to what is lurking underneath the nail when waitresses serve me and they have long nails.
