One of the things I like about Mediterranean cooking is the rice. It tends to be light and fluffy, and also buttery and just really tasty overall.
I also like the slight tartness (is it lemon?) in Kabob meat, whether it be chicken, beef or lamb.
Yesterday, I was shopping, and spied Mediterranean restaurant a door or two down. I went in and ordered a chicken Kabob with Greek salad and hummus on the side. The cost was about $20.
Everything was yummy. The only thing I did was add a bit of lemon to the chicken for that tartness I like.
Of course, there was still some left for dinner last night, breakfast this morning, and lunch just now. I had different stuff "on the side." (banana, granola, cheese, etc.)
Do you ever eat Mediterranean food?

Lemon and lime are both used I think. I never cared much for lamb. It always seems to be rather greasy. I would like to eat more of that type of diet. Love fish though. Could eat that nearly every day I think. I know vegetables are good for me but I don't like many and we can't seem to get good produce here anymore.

It is not available here. I have had some good middle eastern food a time or two when visiting in Minneapolis. I am a fan of hummus.

I eat what my budget can afford but I do have chicken fingers frozen at home and tomorrow I order my monthly groceries and will get Feta and cherry tomatoes so I suppose I can put something in that way together,
