Both my husband as well as myself were really missing Willow and Harper. They've been on vacation for almost 2 weeks, and they are fun little side kicks. Last week our son facetimed with us and since then the girls asked several times a day about us. This morning our son dropped them off so that he could run errands. After he went to costco he went home, put away his big load, and turned to the lawn that was begging for his attention. He texted and asked if it was alright that Mom pick them up after she finished shopping. Of course it was. After hearing all about their beach days, and the fun they had, they wanted to 'do somthing in the kitchen' and pulled me by the hand. They love to make things. Today I had some apples that needed to be used up. I cut up the apples and together we measured the base and topping and put together an apple crisp. They were both so proud to show Mommy when she came to get them. And all of the bragging rights that 2 little 4 year olds could gather to explain how they made it. Harper is a girlie girl. When she arrives, she proceeds straight to our bedroom. She brings out my 2 jewelry boxes, so that she can go through the drawers. She loves any bling, and the costume pieces that I have are definitely bling. She even spied the big box that holds my wedding dress, and conned me into opening it and letting her look through the plastic at it. Tomorrow I have to put my robot vacuum out so I hope that there are no rings or anything lying unnoticed on the floor. Little girls should play dress up a little more.
