It Is Indeed a Small World After All

It never ceases to amaze me what a small world we live in On our first night on the boat everybody on the boat had to give a brief introduction. 163 people. Quite boring I had already given mine when about 10 people later this lady stands up and says she’s also from Louisville ky. What are the odds? But wait Then she says she knows me! So I met with her after the reception and it does turn out that I knew her 30 years ago. We took two college classes together. Now seriously what are the odds that I’d see her in Germany? Wow!

You just never know... When Pretty and I still went on vacations across the US, it never failed, everywhere we went, I always knew somebody there... Once Pretty (about 7 years old) asked if I knew everybody in the world.

That was unexpected. I hope you were friends all those years ago! A long time ago when I was about 20 I was travelling around Scandinavia and on a ferry to the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway I got chatting to a man. Of course we asked the usual questions, where are you from etc. Turned out he had worked with my mum before I was born!
