21 days until the ber months. Even though it is still quite warm and humid..something about the feel of the air or the amount of light available is kind of giving off a fall vibe. School is starting here tomorrow. I don't know why they start it so early, there is plenty of hot weather left, and perhaps a hurricane or two, but it does. Usually I hear busses on their trial run but maybe the kid that was on this street and taking the bus either went on to the next level or moved or something. I haven't heard any busses. When does school start in your area?

I don't think the August until May thing makes any sense, especially in the areas that have a lot of hot weather. They start early in most of Georgia too, which is even hotter than here.

Going back to school after Labor Day is the civilized and natural thing to me. Alot of people want to vacation in early September without having to worry about school. Besides who wants to go to school when it is hot?

Schools here have their long break over our summer so from just prior to Christmas to late January/early February.
