It's about 2:08 pm here in Nigeria. I'm at work. The weather's decent, not too hot, the sun's out but not scorching. I wanted to visit my stepdad in the hospital, but that's not happening for now. My sister says they're waiting for the neurologist, expected around 3:00 pm, and they're still hoping he'd be discharged today. Work's been a mix, but I've managed to finish a few online gigs, thankfully. Things are slow offline, but I'm learning to be grateful for any opportunity that comes my way. I got an unexpected update too: a family friend in the UK reached out. He said I just came to his mind and wanted to check in. He even got my number from my sister. He sent me a message on WhatsApp but I haven't replied yet because my phone battery's low and there's no electricity to charge it. Once power's back, I'll respond to him.
