Scott Jennings is in the running to be the new Press Secretary

Trump's first press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, announced that she will be leaving her position at the end of the month She has a newborn and a 2 year old so she wants to spend more time with her family. That's understandable. Almost immediately people started speculating who her replacement would be. There are some deputy press secretaries who could step into the role. Another name that has popped up is conservative commentator Scott Jennings. He worked for both George W Bush and Mitch McConnell. His current role is the GOP/conservative "foil" to the Democrat/liberal commentators on CNN. When Jennings was asked about the possibility of him taking the role he responded with "I don't know". Well that isn't a no. He would be a perfect Trump press secretary. He is happy to lie about Trump's achievements and errors, he is well-known in the political and political journalism world, and he has that smarmy attitude that you just want to smack off of his face. It will be interesting to see who Trump selects but if I were a gambler I'd put my money on Scott Jennings.
