It's now waiting game

It's 3:58 p.m. here in Nigeria. I'm getting ready to have beans and potatoes. Yesterday I wasn't feeling so good because of a toothache, so I couldn't enjoy my usual meal and had to settle for beans with gari instead. Uh, today I'm feeling better. It's been a pretty quiet day with no major plans, and sales have been slow since morning. On the bright side, I managed to complete a few online gigs, and I'm still hopeful more opportunities will come before the day is over. In family news, my brother confirmed that the outstanding hospital bill, close to a million naira has now been cleared. My stepdad is still admitted, not yet able to swallow properly, so the family decided it's best for him to remain under medical care, where he can continue receiving drips and close monitoring until he's able to eat again. We don't know yet when he'll be discharged, so it's still a waiting game, and we're praying for steady improvement. My mum has been there at the hospital and isn't ready to leave, and a caregiver has been assigned to support him there as well. Tomorrow, a family of his, Dr. Tony, who's a gynecologist, plans to travel from Ibadan to visit and review his condition.
