Hanging By a Thread

Or in this case hanging by a wire. The other day my daughter noticed the light over her bathroom sink was detached from the wall and hanging. She tried to see why and if it was just loose and could easily be screwed back in place but nope. So, I'm waiting for my son to come today to see what the problem is. It's really weird that all of a sudden this huge light fixture which goes across a double sink and above a huge mirror came loose. I feel bad that we had to ask my son to come as he's in the middle of being swamped with his own work and leaving for vacation on Tues so they're trying to tie up everything they can before they go away. Why does stuff like this happen when it's totally inconvenient? Gotta love good old Murphys Law. Meanwhile she can't use the light in the bathroom and has a big comforter covering the sink so if the light fixture falls it won't totally smash the sink and create chaos with shards of glass all over the bathroom. I'm just hoping it's nothing complicated and that it just need to be reattached. Otherwise he'll have to take it down and come back after vacation to put up a new one. So, that's my Friday so far.
