Hey everyone, how are you doing?
Since it is Friday, I thought I would share my weigh in and how I am doing overall. I'll do these once a week for now. Maybe in time just once a month.
Starting weight (August 3rd) - 242
Last Friday - 234.4
Today - 231.4
I lost 3 in the last week. However, I did go up Sunday after I had my big cheat day on Saturday. Overall, I am down 10.6 pounds in almost 2 weeks.
I have been dealing with blood sugar issues. No, they are not spiking over the 200s which is great. Not really even seeing them over 150. But most of the day they sit around 120 to the 140s.
I will look into it more, but I may need to lower my protein a tad and up my fat more. No, eating fat won't make me fat on this diet, unless I just eat so much that I am going over the calories I should eat. Yes, on the standard American diet if you eat fat you'll gain fat and lots of health issues. That's another subject though.
I've felt some inflammation and such this week, but still improved from over 2 weeks ago. My back has felt so much better though. So when Eli is back in school, I will try working out again. Of course then, I will probably have to up my calories some lol
So, how did I do today?
Meal 1 - about 10 oz salmon, ended up adding a couple tablespoons of butter to that, and ate one...yum lol
Meal 2 - Protein drink - found a lower carb one. Wasn't really that hungry, but knew I needed a bit more protein.
Macros - 769 calories, 2 carbs, 47 fat, 82 protein
I could go have some more butter lol!
Anyways - what do you think of my week? How much can I lose by my Dr. Appointment on Sep 2nd? I just want to have a good number to show.

@MommyOfEli2013 Did you start this weight loss journey on your own? Or was it at the urging of a doctor or care team?
