What’s this? Another FM rock classic song?? Yes, well…this is compensation for the “FM rock classic” that is coming up in a couple of days. 
Meanwhile, let’s go south, to New Orleans with a classic first-generation southern rock band!

And hopefully this is another one that TeamFreak had pegged to show up. Who couldn’t pass up this song? And wouldn’t you love to see the birth certificate for someone “born in the back seat of a Greyhound bus rollin’ down Highway 41”? 
Not my favorite Allman Brothers song (that would be “Midnight Rider,” Gregg Allman’s great song), but that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. Dickey Betts went to town on the vocals and the guitar work, giving us a classic in southern rock, FM rock, and road trip playlists.

To be fair, the Allmans had Duane Allman AND Dickey Betts for guitarists. No other southern rock act had that one-two punch on guitar!
