A Kick-Back Sunday / myLot

Today is a kick-back Sunday kind of day. In other words, absolutely no plans, just hanging out together at home. I have a week's vacation coming up at the very end of the month. We were talking about doing some day tripping together. I think that we've come up with a plan to drive along Lake Erie up to Port Dover together. It is just not in a direction that we typically go to, so we'll see something new. The beach at Port Dover has soft sand, that will be nice. But it is a touristy little town, so will likely be quite busy since it will still officially be summer. Lots to think about before then, the weather and so on. Are you enjoying a kick-back or an organized Sunday today?

I had no plans, the air was clean and cool when I got up, so I took a shower and decided to go for a long walk. It was pretty hot when I came back at 9:30

The long walk sounds like it did you good. It is hard to be cooped up inside all of the time, our muscles need to be stretched. Now you can stay in and remain cool until the heatwave breaks.

@Juliaacv - I climbed on top of a hill, there is a small Church on the top. I rested for a while and came back.

I get to do the kick back everyday, that's the beauty of retirement. I hope you'll be taking some pictures of what you get to see, I love where I live but would love to see the greenery you get to see.

I would imagine that many who live in green lush areas take all of that for granted @Juliaacv I probably would but then I look around at the little bit of desert we have left and think just how interesting it is although not beautiful in the same sense as lush green territory is

@rebelann It must be stunning in its own way, besides, there is such little dessert space left, you are living in an almost extinct area. That in itself is amazing.

Thanks, we're just kicking around ideas just now as to how we will spend that week. I know that we have things to do around here. I have a winter coat that needs a new zipper, and since I couldn't find anything that I liked last year, I will take it in to have the zipper replaced. And there are a bunch of other little things that I need to do. But if we go away, I will try to remember to take some pictures and share them here. Sometimes I forget that we all have a different view out our windows and in our region.

Right now, I am kind of tired so I doubt I will get too much accomplished although I hope to swim later, weather permitting.

It is overcast here today, and it feels cool, a good day to lay low. He mentioned that he'd like steak for supper, so in a couple of hours I will have to get a package out to thaw.
