I am pasting in my review I left for our experience at the local Applebee's in McComb, MS last week. Sorry for the length! Everything has gone downhill here: Food and Service What happened? You finally got a good manager, a good bartender and a great staff and now everything has changed and all of that is GONE! My husband and I dined here a couple of nights ago and that will be the last time for a very long time before we come back again. The place will have to be under new management with some trained servers. Just about everything went wrong with our experience there during this visit. My husband ordered unsweetened tea since he is diabetic. He got sweet tea. No problem. Told the waitress and he also asked for Sweet 'n Low. He had to explain to her what that was. He told her whatever you have in the pick or blue packet. She comes back with unsweetened tea and about 8 packs of regular SUGAR (in white packets). All of this after he explained he was diabetic. I ordered the all day $5 Margarita and it was the worst Margarita I have ever gotten in my life from anywhere. It had zero taste and 0 alcohol. I think she put in for a virgin lime Margarita for me. Food. My husband ordered a rack of BQ ribs with the Sweet Asian Sauce. Instead he got the Hot Honey Glaze. He couldn't finish eating it and brought it home for the dog (I watered it down for him...don't worry!) He didn't say anything because he doesn't like to send food back thinking that they will do something to whatever comes back just to be doing it. My entree was the Chicken Breast over Pasta with Broccoli and cream sauce. It did not taste like the same recipe they normally serve. The sauce was not the same and the broccoli was not cooked enough and very hard. This was very disappointing--it used to be my favorite entree on the menu. Refills were scarce. We had to wait several minutes before we ever saw our waitress to get a refill throughout our meal. My husband had to stop eating with the hot sauce on the ribs because he was out of tea. The first wait was for ten minutes. He had to flag her down again to get another refill and finally just quit eating. He gave up because it was too spicy for him and we asked for boxes to bring out leftover food home in. We thought that the waitress could figure out to bring our check to us at the same time, but NOPE! After requesting the check, and finally getting it I looked over it and she charged me for a premier Margarita and not the $5 one. I told her I was not paying for that because that is not what I ordered. I told her the Margarita had no alcohol in it and I drank only about 1/4 of it. She said she would ask the manager to take that off the bill. She came back with a new ticket and it also had a Margarita on it for $5.49. Still the wrong price. My husband said just give me the bill and let's get out of here and we did. Good luck, Applebee's. Sounds like you won't be in business long at this rate!
