I think we should start charging for rescuing tourists here and some bad things happening recently as well

not sure of the rescue numbers in one year but it's about time that our Croatian Mountain Rescue Service starts charging for their services and especially for all those tourists that climb mountains in evening hours and not know the way, who go alone, who wear filp flops. then, not having enough water and all those things that are stupid, i must say. you can't possible climb an unknown mountain of almost 1000 meters or more in flip flops. This happens every summer and this service is posting very often this kind of things on their social media but people, mostly foreign tourists never learn. in some countries, i think this service isn't free and maybe when we start charging, maybe those heads will start thinking. also, another thing that happened recently was our coast guards trying rescuing tourists from Portugal, 5 of them who, at 4o'clock decided to cross an open sea in a plastic children's boat or barely 1,5 meters long inflatable boat, clearly not meant for open sea and, of course, they were drunk. planes were included too. It was a woman and 4 men. A woman was found but, i think only 2 of men were found. soon after that, we had fires here and a woman from Poland was one of the suspects that caused the fire. for one of the fires.there was 3 in whole and the first was the deadliest and it's still ongoing investigation. So, for this deadliest fire, the fire had spreaded to many houses and one person lost her life running away from the fire. in whole, about 1000 people were evacuated and luckily, only 10 of people were hurt. People were jumping in the sea as well. It all happened at night of august 13 and 50 houses were burned, 117 cars too and 49 boats as well. I can't afford going at seaside and don't like going there due to crowds but this shoke me and shocked me a lot. we need higher fines for intentional fires too. This is an online photo.
