It was only recently that a school shooting incident happened in Thailand. A 14-year old gunman who killed himself after what he did.
This morning, there'a school shooting incident in my country. Surprisingly, it's in one of the prestigious private schools in the country. A junior high school carried two rifles, one M16 and a Glock 9mm. He had his shooting done live and he shot himself right after.
It's heartbreaking and very concerning. My son graduated in the same Junior high school but fortunately in a different campus. My nephews and nieces too.
That school is a Catholic school and students who go there are privileged ones, coming from affluent families. Makes us wonder how he was able to go through security with two rifles? And one is even a long arm one.
Makes me worry for the safety of the kids these days.

I blame the social media for this. I believe that children are highly influenced by what they see on Facebook. There's no more censorship in the news.

@toniganzon - And you are right to blame social media. Teenagers are all the time attached to their smartphones, also some TikTok videos are very bad for them.

It's terrible and worrisome! Imagine the kind of mental health these children are going through that makes them do such a terrible thing. Mental health is a big concern in today's world.

@toniganzon It's sad and concerning. Mental health issues are concerning in today's times. Teenagers these days live more in the virtual world and virtual relationship. There is disconnect at real level. Virtual influences can be poisoning.

@toniganzon Well, it would be tough to do that now since you already allowed them from the start. If you ban them completely, they’ll just go underground even more, making them harder to detect.

@rsa101 I hope the government should do something about this. Sensitive contents should be censored. Like it used to be.
When I gave my son his very first iPad, I monitored everything. I created his Apple ID and I have the password. Everything he downloads, I could see. And every game he played, I played so I would know what's going on.
