Ribeye Deal...

A meat vendor is coming to town this weekend and they have a great deal on Ribeye steaks. Twenty of them for $50.
Now, I don't know how big they are, they didn't mention the size. So if we go and they are only like 1 oz steaks then of course we'll walk away. But if they are decent, that's definitely worth buying.
They have other stuff they'll be selling too; chicken, pork, seafood, other beef I'm guessing.
I was this close to signing up for Costco and just buying a whole chuck roll and cutting some steaks myself.
Do you think that's a good deal?
By the way, I have a London broil marinating to cook later. Hope it will turn out nice and tender.

I heard of a similar deal before, but I don't think it was ribeyes; but 20 of them for $40. Just thought this might be different. But think the same scam. I'd be better off getting a chuck roll and cutting them myself.

After I posted this I went and looked up the company and lots were saying it is a scam, either small portions or really thin steaks. Which I don't want the thin steaks. Darn, was hoping to get some ribeyes.

I know quite a few people who fell for this...go read the reviews if you can find some. Very, very thin, tough meat. They do everything they can to upsell to you. If you get a good deal and you like the steaks, great. I just don't know anyone who has had any luck with the bargain meat trucks like this.

Oh I already did...and a lot were saying it is a scam. Just really want some ribeyes but they are out of the budget .
