My wife told me today about meeting the sister of a woman who died a month ago. They chatted, and my wife asked how the lady was coping. She told my wife that having her sister’s dog was a great help, and the small, yappy dog was with her. She said, “I take him for a wee walk every morning through the graveyard and every time we pass Anne’s wee grave he lifts his wee leg and does his wee wees on it. It really seems as if he knows she’s in there and he wants to let her know that he’s ok and she shouldn’t worry”. Well now. What can we say to that?

I think the only thing to do would be to smile politely and move on.

I'm sure there will be several reactions: Disrespectful Funny Or okay with it It seems that she could or would direct the dog away from the actual grave.

Well, if she thinks that is not disrespectful and she is comfortable, I am not there to judge.
