There are Many Sides to a Person

Cleaning out some desk drawers I came upon an old notepad where my mom had once jotted different things. Here is one memory of me, I think, at the age of five, which she never forgot. It is rather amusing. My mom always made sure that I brushed my teeth real well every night. However, at a very young age I just didn’t understand that the mouth and teeth also had sides. So one night there I am standing up on a stool brushing my teeth with great energy. However, I’m only brushing the front of my teeth. So Mom comes to the doorway of the bathroom and tells me to brush the sides as well. In fact, the confusion, I believe, was that Mom simply said for me to brush my sides. Hearing this, I quickly held up one arm and began brushing the only sides I thought I had. Of course after this episode my mom just had to write down this incident so that it would never be forgotten. Picture of me and my favorite beach ball at the age of 3
