A marketing representative of a new coffee brand came to us yesterday asking if she could promote their product in our place.
People who came by were hesitant at first. The instant coffee is sold at a much cheaper price than the known brands. The free taste made them buy the coffee though.
People flock to get free coffee but majority of them didn't bother to buy the coffee being sold.

For sure. It doesn't cost a cent to try it. And they were very generous coz you could take two to three cups.

True and because it's very affordable, I'm sure people will start buying the new brand.

Only a few bought actually. It was really good to those who tasted it but since those who tried are retailers, they're afraid people won't buy it in their store coz it's an unknown brand. That's where the hesitation came from.

When it's something new it's always going to be hit or miss.

Right, that's why they need to promote their product well.

Oh well free coffee is a bonus
If it's good
I'm not sure if i would buy it based on a free taste
If it tastes like a leading brand , or better, then I would buy it

I don't drink coffee but those who did told me they tasted just like the usual Nestle instant coffee that they take.

That’s to be expected when offering free samples in one area—sales conversion might be low, especially if the product isn’t well known. Most people will just try it, and it may take some time to turn them into customers. Still, it’s a good way to start introducing the product.
