Yeah, I don't have issues with friends and those close to me touching me as well. But when it's someone I don't even personally know and a stranger to me, i don't really like it at all.

Since he is a supplier, maintaining a professional boundary without causing an unnecessary scene is important to ensure your work transactions remain smooth. Continuing to physically distance yourself whenever he enters the office seems like the safest and most tactful way to handle the situation without violating cultural norms regarding elder respect. If he never gets the chance to get close to you, he effectively loses the opportunity to initiate that unwanted contact.

The best way is to just avoid him. I don't think there's a way of telling him without embarrassing him.

I don't mind being touched by friends and family but a stranger is definitely a no.

Oh I enjoy it too with friends and family. Those I'm familiar with but never with a stranger. He did it to me the first time we met and I don't even know him then at all. But I thought he mistook me as my sister as it happens often. However, the next time it happened, my sister was there too but it was only me he touched.

@toniganzon In that situation, it does come off as creepy. I would never be physically in contact with someone I didn't know, or just met, unless they initiate the contact first (handshake, hug, etc).

Yeah, that's why I didn't tell him off because I didn't want to embarrass him since he's older than me. The thing is, he only does it to me and not to others and not even our staff.

@nawala123 Didn't I just said that in my discussion? I said I avoid him. I don't even get near him. But that day like I said in the discussion I didn't notice he was there? I would be an idiot to get near him intentionally, don't you think so?

Yes and he does that only to me. But I don't want to embarrass him so I just try to stay away.

Yes. I should remember to leave before he even arrives. He comes once a week on a Friday and normally at 1. That particular Friday though, I left at around 12 and he arrived just as I was about to leave.

@toniganzon safety is really important for us, women and i wish more men would act with conscience and real manners.

There's no way of telling him without embracing him and to tell off an elderly that is kind of rude in our culture. And he could always say there was nothing wrong in what he's doing.
