And happy Saturday!! It's hot here this morning, 92F with a feels like 102 with heat factor. The humidity is low by southern standards at 56% which makes it much easier to breathe outside.
We have 0% rain today, but hey, you know how that goes! A summer thunderstorm could pop up at any given time. If it does happen, it will be welcome to help cool us off a bit. Our high today is 99F, but that may easily go over to 100 or more.
How is everyone fairing that is still dealing with scorching temperatures?

Ugh, I would so hate those temps. It is a very tolerable 76 here but the humidity still is high.

I am staying indoors in the AC! Probably will not venture out to the flea market. And a shame because there was an estate sale I wanted to check out. Will probably go there tomorrow just to see what is left. And it will be all half price and less than that immediately after the sale ends.

Yikes, 56% with 92f sounds way too humid for me, I prefer 92f with 10% like we get here most of the time ..... it'll be over 100f before days end here by about 3pm and it'll cool down by 7pm to about 98f, what humidity we have now will burn off by then thankfully.

I couldn't handle weather like that, I really dislike the heat and I am thankful that our 'hot' days are limited in our region.
Today is pleasant, probably in the mid to low 70's on your scale, but we have passing rain showers coming all day long.
The worst of the summer's heat is behind us for summer of 2026.

Thankfully, our hottest temperatures are apparently behind us. I just stayed inside a lot and had a lot of “fake sorbet” (frozen fruit that was thrown into a blender with a little juice) to keep cool.

We are getting a break from the extreme heat, and I am so thankful for it. It's only 80 degrees today. But of course, we were to have no rain or thunderstorms at all, and we've already had one pop-up earlier....chances for another one after a bit. But they are at least not lasting very long.
Stay inside and stay cool, 99 degrees is just too hot to be outside.
