Is it META's fault?

In ancient days there were parents who looked after their children, and children who lived real lives.
"Go Outside and Play!"
was the order of the parents when the child was planted in front of a television.
And children did.
Children were here now, and lived real lives monitored by parents.
Of course that is waay back in ancient days.
Today kids live on their cell phones and computers. They don't know there is a world outside, they don't know how to deal with people in real life.
Limiting the time kids spend online is going to be seen as punishment. This is because kids no longer have real lives. They live online. They are incapable of leaving a site, or blocking users, because online is their life.
So it is all META's fault? What about parents?

It's the parents fault
What's to stop parents putting rules in place about screen time
What's to stop parents actually sitting watching what their kids are viewing
Actually to hell with this
What's to stop parents taking the phones and the devices away and saying
Go out and play
Blaming Meta is just an excuse for piss poor parenting on a massive scale
Some of these parents shouldn't be near kids

Aye real life
But can you imagine some of these disaster parents getting off of their lazy backsides and taking kids to a park to play games

Parents could have started earlier spending time with their kids. Making time with family something enjoyable. Kids seem to advance quicker nowadays. Childish endeavors don't stay around as long as they used to.

@jaylar .......it's very sad. Why have kids if they just ignore them? Prestige I suppose.

@celticeagle i can't grasp it... how can you live with your children, and don't know what they are doing? The ones that are the most nauseating are the parents of the children who killed themselves. How could they not see the child was upset?

exactly... a kid spends hours online... where are the parents? A kid reads something scary... are there adults they can speak to? It is not difficult for real parents to give their kids lots of activities, to show interest... to be there.
But they couldn't care less, until something happens
