Today is the writer's group. I haven't gone for quite awhile so I will check in today. I haven't written anything so I will just do prompts. It seems like most have dropped out of that group. Heidi who runs it is very dedicated..but she can just go on and on about various topics and most of them seem to be centered on her experiences which are of not that much interest to the rest of us. She used to always invite us to go places with her but has not done that lately. I miss that. Anyway, it will be something different. What will you be doing today? I hope it is a good day for you.

She just gets overly focused on certain things it seems. She spends a lot of time worrying about fairly obscure writing techniques which is strange, because I don't think she ever even published anything. Most of us have some published work.

@LadyDuck It is. It is like she makes excuses not to send things to be published..fearing rejection I guess. I know she sent one thing to a magazine which could take weeks or even months to get back to her, and won't send anything else anywhere. She has written so much though, and she's good, I told her she should get an anthology published on Amazon. As long as you follow their guidelines, you can get anything published on there, good, bad or indifferent.

Hope your writing group isn't disappointing and you have a good time.
We have severe storms today (ugh) and I'm just hoping we don't lose power. I just got a new book (Yesteryear) which I'm going to start today. Hope it's as good as people are saying it is,

I just got a new book free from Amazon part of the Prime reading thing. I think it is called Black Orchid or something similar. It is a cool title. I haven't finished my last Frieda McFadden book though yet. I don't read everyday.
