I Got a Job!

I had a video call interview with a company yesterday, and I thought it went pretty well, but he said they were interviewing several candidates, so I know that's a sign that I needed to manage my expectations. He said they would get back to me with an update about the same time next week.
Imagine my surprise when the recruiter called me TODAY to let me know they wanted me to start work on Monday!
So, it's just a temporary job that is supposed to run about 3-4 weeks, but my last temporary assignment was supposed to be for one day, and I ended up working there for eight years. So -- you never know!
Even if it does only last a few weeks, it will be extremely helpful financially. I was just about to tell my family that I wouldn't be able to come up for the reunion on Labor Day weekend, but now I will be able to see them!

Good for you...I wish son could get a better job. He is still at Amazon, which he likes because it is close by..but not exactly some place he wants to be long term. However, I don't know..I guess as long as he is happy that is the important thing.

Right on! That's awesome. A few of my longer-term jobs started out as temp jobs.
