Someone called the police on me tonight

I swear I was like swatted but by the downstairs neighbor. I went to bed early because why not? I didn't take any medication. I just slept for a few hours without bothering anyone. . . . . . until I was woken up by the door bell and banging on the door at like 10pm. I ignored the bell but then I got up for the slamming on the door. (pro tip for murdering me) I opened the door to find multiple cops who were doing a wellness check on me supposedly. I clearly had just woken up and got of bed with some rocking hair. I was like WTF and they said I was screaming for someone to come save my life. Nope. I had just been sleeping without any crazy dreams. I refused to give them my ID because F that. I didn't do anything other than sleep in my own place. I said "do I look lucid and able to make decisions?" They walked away after that. Very strange. So that was some F-ed up stuff. I have never done anything to draw attention of the police let alone to do anything crazy in this apartment. I've always been a good tenant and neighbor.

I bet it is the weird neighbor who didn't take good care of the kitties..yep. Just a feeling. This is so wrong.

That is my guess too. I supposedly yell in my sleep when I'm having a nightmare but to scream for help to save my life is like 200 steps over the edge. I had just gone to bed early and had no nightmares. I was just asleep and then had to deal with police.

That is definitely strange. Probably some crazy neighbour wanting to cause trouble or something.

Wow. Part of me wonders if you were screaming in your sleep and didn’t know it, and someone heard you (since you said you’ve had “teacher nightmares” earlier). And then there’s the other part of me that thinks you were indeed swatted.

I do have work nightmares but never about my life being in danger. They left me alone pretty quickly since they saw that I was fine, safe, and obviously asleep before they slammed on the door. Once I refused to give them ID they left pretty quickly.

You're being harassed. You did the right thing refusing to give your ID. Just watch your back, and keep an eye on your car out in the parking lot-someone is jealous of you.
