I Threw Last Week Away.

Hey, everyone. I’m a little behind, but I had all intentions of posting last week. Buuuut, then I threw the week away, or more like in a woodchipper, because I was DONE. I don’t care if people think getting upset over a celebrity’s passing is silly or whatnot (and I haven’t read any posts, so if anyone actually said that, I haven’t seen it), but I adored Dolly Parton. She had such a kind, genuine heart and, of course, had great songs! "9 To Five" lives rent-free in my head at times. So I was sad when she passed away. I had been worried about her since her husband passed away, and she had health issues, but I still didn’t see this coming. And as if that wasn't bad enough, my favorite actor… a family favorite and staple of my childhood, passed away the same day (it was announced the next morning). The great Tim Curry. Some of my favorite movies are Clue, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Home Alone 2, Annie, Oscar, and IT, and Tim plays in all of them. And you may remember me mentioning that I was listening to his audiobook late last year. I’ve been dreading this day, what with his age and his stroke from 2012, but his passing last week was completely unexpected for me. He had just been announced for a movie back in June, and I was SO EXCITED that he was returning to acting (fortunately, his scenes were filmed before his death). So I spent all last week honoring Tim and watching his movies. And to be honest, I had no idea he was still making fan appearances, so I’m a little salty that I never got the chance to meet him. I’ve heard nothing but good things though, so at least I could live through those stories. Ughhhhh, I’m going to miss Dolly and Tim. :( AND THEN, I got booted from a writing team because my style just wasn’t a good fit. Now, I’ve only done a handful of orders, as I’m more active on other teams. But this was the same day as Tim’s passing was announced, after I had already worked on a revision (which was thrown back to me but then pulled), so that was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back. Since payday was the next day, I packed it up and headed home from the coffee shop. It was close to closing anyway, but still. I was legit just done for the day. Since Thursday and Friday were the end of the month, there wasn’t any work, so I just stayed home from the coffee shop. Yep, I threw the whole week into a woodchipper, and I don’t care. (I’m okay about the writing team now, though, as I have other teams/clients. It was just bad timing and one less egg in my basket, is all.) Now, it’s a new week. Yesterday was very slow because it was the last day of the week (and sometimes, work for the week picks up on Tuesdays rather than Mondays), but I do have an order that I’m working on right now. If more work hits in the evening (which would be afternoon their time), I’m going to work after we clip our dog’s nails (it’s a two-person job). I’ll also work this Saturday if anything is available. I’ve had more than enough time off. Also, I’ll catch up on the notifications for my last few posts as I go. I’m not looking to pause my posting for that again, at least not right now. Alrighty, back to work, I go. You all stay safe and take care.
