I just asked Alexa about the weather forecast today, and it is going to be quite a bit cooler than it was predicted to be. That is interesting. I wonder why? Today and tomorrow were supposed to be the hottest days of this heatwave, but the temp apparently will only be 92 which is about 5 degrees less than they were predicting. Fine with me..It is very humid though. The insects are rattling like it is going to be very hot, but maybe they are just enthralled with the humidity. I went swimming last night and the water was overly warm..not that the temps have been oppressive necessarily but there has been a lot of sun. The volume of water was quite a bit less as well, which I will talk about in my next post.

Yikes, so, so hot. I remember when we are Mount Rushmore in the early 2000's it was hot like that it was about 100 degrees a few days. It was too hot to be enjoyable. Actually, it was like that in all the parts of South Dakota we were in, and then there was a tornado!
. We had been camping, and got in the car to avoid the storm. Luckily, it was not that horrible..but our queen size air mattress blew out of the tent. We found it on the other side of the campground.

@LadyDuck Yes, when it gets very hot like that..it gives the storms alot of energy. I just can't wait until this whole mess is over with. BTW, it was 2003 when we were in SDakota.

@snowy22315 - I remember that the year 2003 was extremely hot and it was hot almost until the end of September. The thunderstorm was storm to blow your queen size air mattress. Next Monday sounds to be extremely hot, so I suppose the following thunderstorm with be violent.

Ours should be better by the weekend. The rest of the close range forecast looks reasonable. I was a bit nervous last night when I was looking at the weather forecast for Chicago..next week when I will be there for the wedding..I saw something on FB that looked liked the temps would be in the upper 40's gulp! AccuWeather has the temps as being perfect though..so I will go with that..

It might be hotter tomorrow than it is today, but I hope not. There could be storms tomorrow and Friday, but I think Friday is the better day for them.

I think our heatwave is going to be a bit less than predicted but the humidity is high. Ugh and we have rain to make it even more humid.

We probably won't have any rain until tomorrow or Friday. Thursday I think but not sure may be those scattered showers that impact some parts of the area, and not others.

Me too. This has been a horrible summer..so it will much better this year than normal.
