I think I'd like life on a commune

I don't know. . . I don't smoke pot and sometimes I don't get along with others *ahem* but I think I would have been a good hippie. Too bad I was born in the late 70s. I grew up with disco and Madonna. It is no secret to those who read my posts that I've been dealing with health issues and have spent 2 visits to a "day spa/retreat". Organic food, aromatherapy, acupuncture, massage, singing bowls, meditation, hammocks, and outdoor activities. Yes we had several hours of therapy each day. My very judgemental mother visited me there several times and approved. She said "you need to live on a commune". Even my 2x counselor said that I looked so much happier there than I did the first time I arrived. I posted a very brief video of my feet just hanging in one of the hammocks while I was laying under a big wind chime on FB if you are friends with me there. That was 100% peace for me. I didn't need music or even sunglasses. I spent as much free time as I could in the hammocks. Want me to work in a garden? Done. Want me to clean. . . well that's a bit more sketchy. Want me to cook? I can do that. Yeah a peaceful life in the middle of the woods with lots of holistics and calmness sounds wonderful. I only have a 10 second clip of me on a Sunday morning and it always makes me smile.

I’m sorry you can’t. I couldn’t do it but then I’ve never tried. I really wish you could, girl. I really want you to be happy.

We love living in the woods, no traffic, not a lot of people around us peaceful all we hear are the birds, enjoy the breeze even though it's hot & muggy but the peacefulness is what is the best.

The only drawback I can see is that I recall you saying once you would not have made a good pioneer, or something to that effect, and Little House on the Prairie was mentioned. A commune can be very basic, limited access to things you are used to...no Kitchen Aid mixer, etc...you will have to hunt up a ''modern'' commune!

that hammock video sounds so peaceful, I bet you could just watch it on repeat. Sounds like that place really did wonders for you, glad even your mom and counselor noticed the difference. Cooking and gardening over cleaning any day, that's a fair trade honestly.
