How Do You Mend A Broken Heart?

You know, when someone breaks your heart really, really badly. You have trusted that person with your whole life and heart. But all those years you've been together, he broke your heart again and again through lies, micro-cheating, manipulation, and verbal and emotional abuse.
I endured that because I thought it was the best for the kids . But I can no longer do it. I had enough.
So many people tell me to move on. Start the healing process. But is it really possible when the wound he had created carved so deeply into my soul?

It does take a long time but you have to do it and you have to move on,

Deep wounds don't heal on nobody else's timeline, only yours, so don't let anybody rush you. You already survived the hardest part which was staying that long, leaving is just proof you still got fight in you. Healing ain't a straight line, some days will feel like nothing changed and that's still part of it.

The scars may run deep, but so does the human capacity to heal. One day at a time, one step at a time. Wishing you peace and strength on your journey.
