We went out to one of our favourite restaurants for lunch today They do the best carvery around. Today I had roast turkey and roast beef. The Mister has Gammon. We both had Yorkshire puddings....I was cheeky and had two. We had a selection of veggies .... I had roast potatoes, broccoli, green beans. Cauliflower cheese, roast parsnips, stuffing and gravy. Sounds a lot but it's a little of each. So delicious ... What did you have to eat today ?

@Traceyjayne No, he was away visiting family because of the Labor Day weekend. A lot of people were gone to see family.

That sounds very delicious!! Just had a quick breakfast here of a link of sausage and a slice of bread. Planned on eating on the way to the flea market, but the hub wasn't in gear to get up and out of bed to help me unload a cabinet so I could clean it up and reload it to drop off at the flea market before opening. It is too crowded to do it during open hours so will wait until later this afternoon to go at right before closing. Then eat somewhere on the way home.

You really are living the high life. Two Yorkshire puddings! I had a similar but more conservative meal of chicken, boiled potatoes and veg. I am trying to cut down on food waste, so I had frozen veg, which I obviously heated up. No Yorkshires though.

That sounds so delicious. I get the small sides, and being able to enjoy a few of them that way. We had cheese omlettes for brunch, I had 2 slices of bacon, he had 3 sausages, hashbrowns and toast. I made a nice roast beef with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans for supper. We only eat 2 meals on Sundays, so pretty heavy ones this week.

@Traceyjayne On every day of the week except for Sundays, I have a small dish of cold cereal, milk and fruit and my hubs has 2 slices of toast, and coffee of course.

My Mom used to make Yorkshire pudding with roast beef. I hadn't thought of that until now.

@xstitcher yes they are traditionally served with roast beef, but on a carvery you can have them with any meat you choose. I absolutely love them.
