Eating on My Messy Table

I am not eating with my family today, they are super busy, though we are all in the sae house right now. My sister is still working in her room, my mom is cooking shanghai, but she ate lunch earlier that is why she's not hungry, my dad is eating in the kitchen while pestering my mom, we have are separate tasks today.
I hope, we can eat dinner all together later. There is no better to share a meal more than your family.

Well, in the morning, my sister, her husband, and three kids will all be here to visit me, my dad, and stepmom. So we’ll have a wonderful lunch together, and a nice visit. I have wanted to see them for so long! They live two and a half hours away, unfortunately.

Nobody. I eat breakfast at my office table. I eat lunch alone. Dinner? Most likely alone as well unless my sister joins me.

@luisadannointed Nah, my brother's house is just across from ours. Our ancestral home is about 10 meters away but it's empty. Another brother lives near as well.

It's funny how everyone can be in the same house and still end up eating separately because they're busy with different things. That happens quite easily when everyone has their own schedule. I agree that eating together as a family is special, even if it's only one meal during the day. Hopefully everyone will be free by dinner time and you can all sit down together. As for the messy table, I wouldn't worry too much about it. A lived-in table is usually a sign of a busy home! ??
