A stranger was at the right place at the right time on Saturday night when an autistic girl fell into Hudson River in Troy New York and she needed to be rescued. The stranger whose name was not released to the public jumped into the Hudson River when he grabbed the autistic girl and kept her above the water when Troy police officers climbed down the seawall and one police officer grabbed the girl and he handed her to another police officer who managed to get the girl on solid ground. Firefighters from the Troy Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel examined the girl who was not hurt and she is in safe condition. Troy city officials plan to recognize the stranger, first responders and the child and her family in the near future which is in my opinion well deserved for saving the life of a child. The girl most likely fell into the river by accident like not looking where she was walking.

Those with autism could be quite hard to help in some circumstances.
