i have this site that i check and that announces when and where the power will be off daily in my city. and, imagine this, my street wasn't mentioned today so, no wonder i felt buffled when around 7 p.m., 30 minutes before the dark, my electrical fan stopped working and my connection to mylot has stopped. weather forecast was fabulous today so no storm anywhere and, let me tell you, it was so strange to see the entire street in the dark. all i could hear was children playing in the park, obviously not affected by power off. well, for me, i didn't have candles but, thankfully, i had a lamp on my mobile phone but, buying candles will be strongly considered next time when i go shopping but i have to buy matches too. i must say, it was okay at first. i meditated. i had a small headache today and then and this moment of not having power made me to relax a bit so, yes, i relaxed. i also did tai chi, a little bit of yoga and power was after 40 minutes back and in the minute, it was gone again so i waited and around 9 p.m., finally and by approval from kids outside, the power was actually back. what happened and what lead to this, it is a mystery. last 30 minutes, i played app game and it was okay but i worried about my meat in a freezer cause, summer temperatures are still on and if this lasted more than 2 hours, i am afraid there would have been some bad news. when was the last time you had your power off and how long did it last, if you remember? also, i had power off just before my dinner so i only had bread with some jam. i hope i'll have better dinner tomorrow.

I usually have some candles on standby coz anything could happen. There is a day a transformer blew up at 8PM and we didn't have power for another 20hours.

I totally get that feeling when the power and internet go out; everything just comes to a halt, and it’s super uncomfortable. You feel powerless to make your life easier, and being offline just makes it even more frustrating.

July 4th, America’s 250th year celebration, a really bad storm hit my town and my power was out for four days. Temperatures got to 100 F (38 C), and it felt intolerable.

Yesterday, Monday afternoon around 2pm and it lasted until 5:30. The power outage is due to lack of supply from the power grid so they had to do a rotational blackout. It was to hot indeed but fortunately, we had a backup power so we didn't suffer as we till got our electricity.

It's always worrying when the power goes off. If you don't open the fridge too much, the food should stay cold for a while.
