Not Very Happy Today

I think I snapped today and had a melt down. I love my husband and all but he just does not remember simple instructions sometimes and keep doing the same mistake.
I told him so many times not to store liquids laying down on the fridge as it tends to spill. And yet again he stored the whole milk down and it ended up spilling on the fridge along with items stored next to it.
I had to do a huge clean up for something that could have been easily avoided. I try not to nag but this is probably the 5th time this happened and I am always the one who end up dealing with the mess. I need to vent or I’ll have a stroke.

We talked it out and I said to him next time he should clean it because I am upset that he keeps doing the same mistakes. And sorry is not sorry if he keeps doing the same thing.
Yeah I am quite a patient person but you know what I mean. It can turn anyone batty.

Yes, let him clean it up if he does it again. And if it isn't good enough, have him clean it up the second time. Sometimes I swear men don't think about things and they do dumb moves like this.

I know this is not the only thing he does that irks me. Sometimes all I want is a bit of common sense and a lot of consideration really. I want him to at least improve and remember things he has done wrong before. I feel like I am not being heard when same mistakes keep happening.

I think the solution here is simple. Make him clean up the mess. A few times of doing that will probably work wonders.

I would love to but his cleaning sometimes is unsatisfactory and I feel like the milk would not be cleaned well. But you might be right maybe next time I will let him clean it and if I am unsatisfied I will clean it again when he is not looking so he can at least learn the consequences of his actions.

@flapiz Yep, he will never learn or be motivated to do it himself if you do it for him.I would work on letting clean enough be your standard. It w on't kill anybody I promise

@snowy22315 I have made this my resolution now. I also verbalised my frustration because I did not want him to be clueless and me be sleeping angry towards him. We will work on it and I did say next time I won’t be cleaning up after him.

I understand why you are angry since your husband has a bad habit of storing liquids down on the fridge which causes spills that you have to clean up.

Yes what makes me angry is not the action itself more like the constant repetition without absorbing any learnings at all. I made a big fuss tonight because I feel like he keeps doing the same thing because I am too lenient about it.

Yeah I have reached my limit. I clean the house all the time least he can do is maintain it. I am going to let him clean up after his mess next time.
