Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 90 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. I saw lots of convertibles with their tops down on the way back from work. Work today was fine. I've been bringing things in from here bit by bit. Today I had a bag of plants. I was having a hard time carrying that while also having my big work bag on my shoulder. I saw a former student on my way through the hall. He was getting breakfast so I waited and he looked all confused. I was like "yeah come here when you're done". He came over and I asked him if he could carry the bag of plants up to my room. Immediately he looks at his friend and said "this is some slave-a$$ sh!t." Yes, he is African-American. I had the students working independently which gave me time to unpack some more stuff and get some paperwork done. Tomorrow it is back to lecturing but today it was nice to be able to work on my own just like the students. I'm back at the apartment with the cat crew. I don't have much to do other than pack my lunch for tomorrow, set out my clothes, and chill. That is a nice feeling. What's everyone else up to this afternoon?
