Volunteers rescue sea turtles trapped in a storm drain in Florida

CC Pond who is a member of a volunteer team assisted a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) deputy near Clearwater Florida on Monday morning.
CC and the deputy and the team of volunteers were fishing out the sea turtles that fell into the storm drain since the streets were dark and the turtles could not see where they were going.
The team believed that the turtles crossed the road after they left their nest. The turtles that were rescued in the storm drain were taken to the ocean safely.

The sea turtles fell in by accident since the road was dark and they could not see where they were going.

The turtles needed to be saved since they were inside of a storm drain and it was dark.

Thank goodness they got rescued. There are not many sea turtles anymore.

I've seen them hatch out before and charge for the ocean...which of course is dangerous for them, as predators wait for them to charge for the water. I'm glad they were given a second chance to get to the ocean.
