It has been a long time since I have been in mylot. I was so busy and trying to adjust to new changes happening in my life lately. Now, I am settled living with my younger sister and trying to assist her child with mild autism. I stopped working online for now and am considering it as my time off for working so hard these past few years.
How are you, guys?

Hey! Welcome back! I've really missed talking with you!
To be honest, things aren't going as well for me as they could be going... Earlier this year I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and have just spent a week in the hospital while tests were run on me to see if getting a shunt and hose installed in my head would help with the problems I've been having. (I'm pleased with what the tests showed and hope the neurologist agrees that the shunt is a good fit for me.)
I've also been losing weight since I talked with you last. I've lost over 70 lbs/31.7 kg since last November. I still want to lose some more before I'm done.
I really hope you can stick around again, at least for a while.

You were diagnosed with hydrocephalus??? Did the doctors say how you contracted it? I got it when I was born. Did a report on it in a Junior college class and found out a lot about myself.

Just now
@xstitcher Mine is a case of older adult normal pressure hydrocephalus. For people over 60, it can just happen slowly. The body doesn't reabsorb the fluid as quickly as it should and it gradually builds up in the skull until it puts too much pressure on the ventricles of the brain, causing problems.
While I was in the hospital, the neurologist set a slow drain in my spine and drew off some spinal fluid every hour for a week. The pressure is slowly building back up in my head, and problems are beginning again.

I’m doing well, and I have to say it is really good to see you.
I’ve been busy with doctor appointments if you can call that busy. Next month I go on a cruise to Canada with my sister, her family, and my dad and his wife.
Your sister must be so grateful to have you help with her son. It’s wonderful you can be there for them both.

Welcome back. Things are a little crazy, here--I had a job, then lost a job, and then got a new job, then wound up being "on call" at that job.
In the meantime, I am trying to get other things done--like getting ready for a craft show in November.

I am doing okay working at home sharing news stories and completing surveys while getting checkups from physicians monthly by telephone.
