Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 80 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. It is nice out there! I'm finally able to turn off the AC and open up the windows. Work was chill today. Being 9/11 I wanted to show them something about it. Yeah it has nothing to do with biology but I think it is important for them to learn about it. I showed them a short video called "Boatlift" which is about how all sorts of boats showed up to help evacuate lower Manhattan. We had a double 8th period which was a pep rally. The noise always makes me anxious. It is just so loud. Luckily the time went by quickly. I did see the principal this morning on my way in. I stopped to thank him for moving me and to let him know that I am so happy there. I think he was surprised when I told him I no longer cry on my way into work. I'm back at the apartment now with the cat crew. The cleaning lady was here. I'm surprised she isn't already blowing up my phone to send her money. I need to do that. I also need to order some groceries. I don't need much but I do need some fresh produce and some things to bring into work. My former students are already hitting me up for snacks. One kid today took some pretzel crisps, a protein bar, and a Rice Krispie treat. I wish I had a fridge in the prep room (more about that in another post) but for now I don't. No big plans for the afternoon/evening. What's everyone else up to?
