A simple yet complex West Australian wildflower

When Vin and I were taking photos at horse endurance rides, we processed the photos through a programme called Lightroom. Some of you may be familiar with it. Vince still processes all his photos in this way but sometimes I just use Photoshop. Lightroom is more sophisticated with a big range of options. Today, I used Lightroom to process some photos from Coalseam, an area which is famous for its magnificent display and range of wildflowers. I thought I’d share this photo which I thought was a bit special. It seems quite a complex bloom with petals appearing at several levels up the body of the flower. The furry bits at the top will eventually blow away in the wind and hopefully form new plants. I also think I need to learn the proper names for the flower parts. I’ll put another photo in the comments of another flower of the same variety which was a bit more advanced. Note how the older flower is white rather than pink.
