I need a new potty.

We’ve decided that we need a complete new bathroom. Our current arrangements are functional okay, but the shower is leaking, tiles are wonky and the entire business was installed on the cheap before we bought the house and it shows. We knew we’d have to do this eventually when we moved in but it still hurts having to do it, and there’s no good time. Such a lot of money to spend on a room in which you spend as little time as possible. I never really warmed to the toilet. It works okay, but it’s not the kind of toilet you can have a decent chat with, and getting acquainted with a new one takes a while. I still miss Oswald, the toilet in my old house. We had so many good times together, especially late at night. And it wasn’t just when I sat on him that we chatted - I could lie in the bath for ages and talk over to him just shooting the breeze. The cost is quite a nuisance. I could have a month’s holiday in Athens for the money I’ll have to spend, and that annoys me no end. The work should take 4 days and since we only have the one bathroom we’ll need to get out of the house all day every day while workmen invade the little room and shut off the water. New toilet, new wash hand basin, new shower, new floor, new tiles ….. I just hope the new potty comes with a comfortable seat.
