Checking in at Key West, Florida

After the arduous journey from Savanna, Georgia, we had to drive through multiple routes for nearly twelve hours due to heavy traffic before arriving in Miami. As a result, it was already dark when we arrived at the key point, and it was still two hours away from the tip Key West. We were exhausted and would spend the nite before exploring the location tomorrow morning.

Yes, that’s definitely a LONG drive through Florida. I hope you enjoy your time in Key West. I think that’s an incredibly beautiful place.

@rsa101 — I need to find the photo of my family at the southernmost point SIGN, long before that buoy was there (the cameras show it’s under renovation right now so you can’t get to it), in 1965. 
Enjoy your time, and if you have the ability to do so and the weather cooperates, take a sunset cruise. Worth every penny (as long as the weather isn’t overcast and/or stormy).

@FourWalls Oh, we were able to visit that iconic monument, and they appear to be cleaning it up because there were bulldozers there doing some repairs. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures from before today.

That was a very, very long day of driving, I can see why you are all exhausted. I wouldn't have been able to do all of that in one day, just too exhausting. Rest well.

@MarieCoyle In fact, the weather feels like home, but the location is lovely, with a colonial setting, and it appears to be easy to navigate due to its small size, making it simple to walk to various locations.
